A solid foundation is the key to success for your horse whatever you want to do with them. No matter what discipline you may ride, if you don’t have a solid foundation there will be holes that show up will alert you, this needs to be addressed before you can progress.

In the Foundations, Jen will thoroughly review where each horse is at - by going back to the basics or foundation we can review what’s needed and develop a plan to help your horse a more confident, willing, and happier partner.

 

Jen has coached many clients in many disciplines to achieve a better sense of understanding what a solid foundation can do for them and their horse. What does a solid foundation on your horse consist of? Check list of a solid foundation on your horse:

  • Lateral flexions

  • Moving through their diagonals with rhythm and cadence

  • Shoulder, rib and hip control

  • Softness from their withers through to their poll

  • Confident, willing and happy

  • The clinic will cover rider position, softness with hands, leg aids (etc)

Jen has coached all level of riders and can help improve your reining maneuvers, pattern placement and mental game plan. Clinic horses should have the ability to walk, jog, lope and have adequate steering.
